A Question About the Treatment of Possession

Question
reply

Questioner:

Assalamu alaykum, I have a sister who is possessed and has Sihr (magic). She is upon the book of Allah [practising] and she seeks knowledge. She treats herself but she gets tired a lot when she does it, and a lot of the brothers who give Ruqya in Libya (May Allah Guide Them) do not continue with the case until Allah cures it. Rather they recite upon her once or twice and they never come back again. She becomes really tired when she recites upon herself and so she is asking whether she can go to get treated by a Raaqi (person who treats possession and magic) who is not from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal Jamaa´ah because the brothers who are from Ahlus-Sunnah are not consistent and may Allaah reward you with good

Shaykh:

Wa Alaykum Assalaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, it is permissible as long as the Raaqi doesn´t treat her with magic or any other prohibited treatments, also he should be trustworthy and she must go with her Mahram and Allah Know Best
