Tazkiyaat of Sheikh Ali Ar-Ramli (May Allah Preserve Him)



Sheikh Muqbil (May Allah Have Mercy Upon Him):



Shaykh Muqbil said, “Brother Abu al-Hasan Ali bin Mukhtar bin Hassaan al-Urduni is one of our brothers and from the students of knowledge in Dammaj. He is one of those respectful, dignified brothers and is of good conduct. We consider him to be like that and Allaah knows best

Muqbil bin Haadi al-Waadi’ee



He (Shaykh Muqbil) said in this biography when he mentioned his students: The students of Abu ‘Abdir-Rahmaan al-Waadi’ee, are a lot and Allaah knows their actual number, some of them stay for only a month or less , then go to other countries seeking the beneficial knowledge and the success is from Allaah. Also, there are some students of knowledge who benefitted and gained a lot of good then turned back on their heels, as they either fall into the Dunya or fall into Hizbiyyah. So I didn’t mention them, and I only mentioned the good brothers whom are still upon good and uprightness. May Allaah make them and us firm upon the truth, indeed He is capable of everything
Then the Shayh mentioned a group of his students twice, according to alphabetical order until he said: Ali bin Mukhtaar al-Urduni, benefitted in al-Mustalah.

Shaykh Abu ‘Umar Usaamah al-Utaybi


As for Ali ar-Ramli, then I have come to know him through his website, and his beneficial salafi articles, then i met him during Umrah, and he is from our Salafi brothers, just like our brother al-Uwaisi.
I ask Allaah to grant them both success and to increase them in knowledge.

What I know about him is that he is a Salafi Shaykh upon the right path and that Shaykh Muqbil – may Allaah have mercy upon him - mentioned him from amongst those whom he mentioned from his students, and that Shaykh al-Utaybi mentioned him with good and praised him, I consider him thus and Allaah knows best

The Questioner: Do you advise us to study under Sheikh Ali ar-Ramli



The Shaykh: He is Ali Abu Al-Hasan Ar-Ramli Al-Urduni, he stayed in Dammaj for a period of time and Shaykh Muqbil advised people to benefit from him. So, what is apparent that the brother has some knowledge and he can be benefitted from, hence it is okay if you benefit from him, and may Allaah reward you with good

And as it was said: Every person’s speech can either be taken or rejected (apart from the Messenger May Allaah´s peace and blessings be upon him). So as long as he’s a student of knowledge who has benefitted, then we ask Allah grant him and all of our brothers´ success

Therefore, benefit from him, and as for the matters that you disagree with him or other than him about, then ask those who are more knowledgeable, this is a good thing and there is nothing wrong with it.



One of the Shaykh’s students interrupts saying: Some people criticize him saying he’s Hanbali and he takes from the scholars of Hijaaz



Shaykh: to say that he’s Hanbali, then Hanbalis are in fact Ahlus-Sunnah, this is their origin May Allah have mercy upon them and preserve those who are still present

Hanbali Math-hab is upon the Sunnah. They called Imaam Ahmad the Imaam of Ahlus-Sunnah in his time, although the Prophet May Allaah´s peace and blessings be upon him is the greatest Imaam for everyone, but Imaam Ahmad was called Imaam of Ahlus-Sunnah. Also Imaam Ashaafi’ee was called Naasir [the supporter, the aider] of Sunnah, Imaam Maalik is also an Imaam of Sunnah and Al-Bukhaari is from the Imaams of Sunnah. so, it’s not to be said that such and such is Hanbali, for Hanbalis May Allah have mercy on them are upon guidance and good.


However we do not blind-follow or imitate a certain individual. We say: the origin is that they [Hanbalis] are upon good and upon Sunnah 

Moreover, we should not drive people away with such matters that have no 
foundation

Shaykh Usaamah al-Utaybi


The Questioner: Do you know Sheikh Ali ar-Ramli and is he to be benefitted from



The Shaykh: Na’am, I have said it in more than one occasion, our brother Ali Ar-Ramli is a noble salafi shaykh, and I advise people to benefit from him and what some people say about him that he’s a Takfeeri, a Haddaadi or any other lie, is not true and has no origin. He is a noble Salafi and it is not permissible for anyone to warn against him. It is known that Shaykh Ali Ar-Ramli is a noble Salafi brother, and all what is being said about him is out of Gheebah (Backbiting) and those who took him as an enemy are the Halabees [followers of Ali Al-Halabi].



However, there was a problem between him and some other brothers concerning the matter of Jinsul ‘Amal [the type of deed], but the brother (Sheikh Ali Ar-Ramli) is upon the methodology of the Salaf with regards to the matters of Eemaan and in his Aqeedah


Also, he doesn’t make allegiance or disassociation due 
to this word [Jinsul ‘Amal] neither does he become extreme about it


He is upon the Aqeedah of the Salaf in Eemaan and that the one who abandons ‘Amal [performing actions] in totality is a Kaafir and there’s no doubt that this is the Ijmaa’ (consensus)



Therefore, the brother is Salafi and is from the noble students of knowledge in Jordan and he is to be benfitted from. Yes
